John Worrell earned his Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, at Atlantic Christian
College in Wilson, North Carolina. He has practiced as a Certified Public
Accountant for over 25 years, working as a sole proprietor for 18 years.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Coastal
Plains Chapter of NCACPA.
Acting to
protect elders, to ensure the individual receives proper care, make sure
finances are in order, and ensure that financial and estate planning
advice is provided. In compliance with AICPA guidelines, John Worrell offers
Elder Care assurance services.
Working with Elder Life Planning Network, Mr. Worrell networks with other
Certified Public Accountants nationwide, serving in a professional, independent,
and objective manner to assure that the needs of the elder client are being
met in a timely manner, based on specified criteria
• Conducting routine financial transactions and reviewing them for reasonableness
and for adherence to established criteria
• Receiving and paying bills, making deposits and income accounting
• Ensure the client has the proper legal documents in place
• Determine whether investments are being managed in accordance with
client’s instructions
• Make recommendations for funding health care expenses, including long
term care
• Supervise household services, such as maintenance and repair
